Surf school Texel Pole 17
Paal 17 is known to many from the Ronde om Texel, the beach pavilion and the events. Centrally located on the island and behind the seal sanctuary Ecomare.

A surf school can also be found on this beach on the south side: Surf School Texel. For more than 15 years now, surf lessons have been given from this location to anyone who wants to learn to surf. Surfing never gets boring! Children, adults, school classes, groups of friends and many more have been introduced to this beautiful sport. Safety and fun come first!

Facilities
Our accommodation has various facilities. We have changing rooms where you can put on a wetsuit at your own pace. Outside we have showers to rinse you off after the surf lesson.

If you come with your own stuff, there is a possibility to store your stuff with us.

Surfspot Pole 17
In the summer there is plenty of surfing at Paal 17. The breakwaters and the location of the sandbanks make the beach a good surfing spot. The conditions provide ideal conditions for beginners and experts alike. ​ It runs best at low tide and with rising tides.
